ABOUT US

DaoChi Energy was founded by President Stafford "Doc" Williamson as a division of Williamson Information Technologies Corp.

DAOCHI ENERGY

Doc is a member of the Algal Biomass Organization (ABO).

DaoChi Energy has been an outspoken advocate of advanced technology and techniques in the sphere of algae cultivation, and advanced information and ideas provided and shared by Mr. Williamson have had a broad impact on the industry over the many years he has been involved.  One of his designs is now a USPTO patented device to enhance the growth of algae (and other chlorophyll using plants that grow in the water and depend on sunlight).  "Doc" (which is just a nickname, although he recently finished a Masters degree in a single year) has had over 50 different paid positions (jobs may be an exaggeration since some of them lasted only a day or two) in the last 45 years, and despite a couple of university degrees he is largely self-taught in a great number of fields.

Doc has been an influential participant and charter member of the "biochat" forum on Twitter, which, although it is now largely devoted to teachers of biology was for a long time a forum for the exchange of news and ideas in the biofuels field (and later biochemicals). He has also participated in several national conferences including the Advanced Biofuels Leadership Conference and was a member of the executive of the Biofuels Technical and Financial Advisory Committee.

He was twice honored in 2014 as a "finalist" in Arizona State University's competitions around the entrepreneurial environment for "Changemakers" (as one of the sponsoring organizations is called) in both the FURNACE Business Incubator Program and the Changemaker INNOVATIONS program.

DaoChi Energy is partnered in a project to create a biomass power plant in Kenya and has been attempting to license patents from ASU for other exciting Algae technology, too.

DaoChi Energy's long-term plans include something called G.E.M.P.A.L.A. (the Green Energy Marshall Plan for Africa and Latin America) a plan to create food, feed and fuel to a level of permanent and sustainable industry for every town.

DAOCHI MEDIA

DaoChi Media, one of the other subdivisions of Williamson Information Technologies Corp. (a.k.a. "Winfotech," when you don't feel like typing the whole name) is the publishing arm of the company, publishing mainly the writings of Mr. Williamson himself, but nearly a dozen entries altogether, including eBooks, short films and a WWII diary of a man who, although he wasn't specifically the man on whom the character was based, essentially lived the life of Yossarian, the hero of Catch 22 written by Joseph Heller. Heller, himself, was based about 20 miles away, also on the island of Corsica. The late Mr. Schaffer's portion of royalties goes to support current veterans who, like him, have returned from battle with PTSD.
